Yesterday
Yesterday was sooooo great!! Veronica, Andrea, My Sis Esther and I went out to lunch and hung out yesterday and it was soo much fun!!
First, we me at TGIFridays and ate lunch, talked, ate a dessert, and talked some more. We were there for about 2 hours and then went to the Chattanooga Visitors Center. We got some great ideas on what we wanted to do the next time we met up and then we got tickets to the Incline Railroad and then to the Museum at on top of Signal Mountain.
The Incline was soo great. We started going up and it was fun, but the further we went up, the scarier it got. Then up towards the top it reaches a 72 degree angle. It was CRAZY, and the only thing I was thinking about was, "What if this cable breaks? What would happen to me?" We get to the top and the next stop is the Museum.
When we got to the Museum and the shop we were expecting live actors and all of that Jazz. Instead, it seemed as though a person had a hobby of setting up battlefields and decided to charge people to see it. We sat and listened to the funniest rendition of the Civil War story anyone had ever heard. This lasted about 20 minutes and we left and and went back to the Incline for our trip down.
At this point it's 5:30 and the last train was leaving for the bottom, so we jumped on. We sat down and immediately the railway started to move before everyone could sit down. Veronica, one of the girls we were with, looked over at us and was like, "Hey! HeY!! HEY!!!" She was freaking out. Of course, we had no clue what was going on, so our hearts jumped because we thought we were going to die. Fortunately, the person driving the train was on it and everything was under control. But it was the FUNNIEST thing. Veronica, Andrea, Esther and I laughed about that for the resat of the evening.
As we proceeded to drop Andrea off at her car (we were all riding in Veronica's car) Veronica's front right wheel started making a weird noise. When we dropped Andrea off, we looked at the wheel to see if there was anything going on, but we didn't see anything and hoped that something had gotten caught in the will and that it would fall off. Veronica was on her way to drop Esther and I off, when the noise got worse. We pulled over and looked again, but saw nothing. We were about 5 minutes away from the church, so we decided to look at it when we got there.
We show up, and aerobics class was just getting out. My dad came over to help and we pulled off the wheel. The problem was one of the pins that held the brakes on. One of the smalled pins came out and the larger on popped out and was rubbing against the wheel. After about 10 minutes we got the pin straight and put a paper clip in the place of the smaller pin to hold the larger on in place. Thankfully, Veronica made it home safely and hopefully she has a good trip to Illinois.
I guess that was my excitement for the day. Until next time, the is Stephen signing out.
